Juventus offer £45m for Tevez
JUVENTUS have made a staggering £45million bid for Manchester City star Carlos Tevez — according to rival bidders Corinthians.
City rejected a £35million bid from Brazilian club Corinthians for their captain earlier this week, but now have a deal on the table worth £10million more from Italian side Juve.
And even though Corinthians president Andres Sanchez insists he will not up his offer, he believes Tevez's desire to return to South America and be closer to his family can still sway things their way.
He said: "Nothing has changed. They have to decide whether to sell or not.
"They have a proposal for £45million from Juventus, but Tevez does not want to stay in Europe.
"I keep dreaming. I made the offer in the end, even I was surprised.
"But it now depends on City. If I am president of a club that has Tevez then I would not want to sell. But the word of the player has a lot of weight
"You see that when the player wants to leave, he will leave anyway. In football, contracts were made to be broken."
