Rihanna Splashes $100k On Marilyn Monroe Art

Rihanna has reportedly spent $100k on a portrait of Marilyn Monroe consisting of nearly 65,000 crystals.

The huge picture of one of Hollywood's most iconic stars was commisioned by Rihanna herself, choosing British artist Claire Milner to create the piece, which changes colour and weighs over thirteen stone.

Speaking from her Yorkshire home, Milner told The Sun: "I tried to show the glitter of the public life and then the sadness in Marilyn's eyes."

Adding: "Because of who Rihanna is, everything had to be done through her interior decorators. But they told me afterwards that she loved it."

Rihanna hit the headlines last week after appearing to get 'Thug Life' tattooed on her knuckles.
