Shahrukh’s ‘Don 2’ to be released in 3D format

Bollywood seems to be hoping to make their films in 3D just to give an unforgettable experience to their audiences.

The latest we hear is that producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment have made up their minds to release their much-talked about film ‘Don 2’ in the high tech format of 3D.

SRK wants a well-equipped 3D film
After Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Haunted’, which apparently won a lot of accolades for its 3D format, now several filmmakers in the industry have become quite fascinated to try this technology.

Meanwhile, it’s learnt that SRK’s superhero film ‘Ra.One’ is going to be released in 3D and the actor recently has been giving instructions to his team to make ‘Don 2’ in par with his superhero film.

King Khan is keen that the film looks well-equipped in 3D, without having any annoying technical distractions or glitches.

‘Don 2’ to be released in Tamil and Telugu also
After the makers of ‘Don 2’ have decided to go for the 3 dimensional technology, now they are enthusiastic to release the film in other languages too.

They will apparently be dubbing the second installment of the ‘Don’ series in two south Indian languages namely, Tamil and Telugu, apart from its big release in Hindi.

Talking about the 3D format for ‘Don 2’, Ritesh Sidhwani stated, "There is a huge demand for the brand Don. Our audiences must also be expecting much more and beyond just cinema from the sequel, hence a 3D format.

“We did a few 3D conversion tests on Don and the conversion outcome was very good, so while shooting Don 2, the 3D conversion was at the back of Farhan's mind just incase we decided to go ahead with 3D format. I was in LA recently and saw some 3D conversion tests and was blown by it. Hence I decided to go ahead and convert Don2 into 3D format."
