Mukerji - I'm happy to be back

Rani Mukerji has revealed that she is glad to be back in front of the camera.

The Bengali actress will be seen next in No One Killed Jessica, reports the Times of India.

The Bunty Aur Bably star commented: "I am very, very happy to be back. I was expecting the film to be released earlier but those involved might have felt that this is the best time for the release and appropriate to start the New Year with this film.

"I am looking forward to catching the reviews, and more so the audience reaction to my new avatar and new role."

The actor, who has released just one film in recent years - the commercially unsuccessful Dil Bole Hadippa - explained why she chose to sign up for her latest project.

She said: "What drew me to the film was the great script and the fact that it was an edgy thriller."

The 32-year-old added: "Had it been a documentary, I wouldn't have done it."
