Being a mum is bliss: Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, who gave birth to her first child daughter Aaradhya last November, says that motherhood is her top priority and she has no immediate plans to make a Bollywood comeback, reported Hindustan Times. The mom says she loves her new role and intends to focus all her attention on her baby.

Making a rare post-pregnancy appearance at the 25th anniversary celebration of Britain’s MP of Indian origin, Keith Vaz, the 38-year-old actor said, “Being a mum, I love it. It is like bliss.”

The former Miss World pageant winner was accompanied by hubby Abhishek Bachchan to the gala dinner at the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow Hotel in London.

While Aishwarya was all about taking care of the new baby and responsibilities, Abhishek is engrossed in his Bollywood world. He openly confessed, “I am guilty. I don’t spend sufficient time with the baby to change her nappies. She does all the hard work.”

When Aishwarya was asked about her agenda in the near future, she said that returning to work was not part of the plan just yet. She was last seen on the big screen in Guzaarish, and her statements have left the audience sceptical of her return to the film industry. She also added, “We will see as things go. Right now, it is blissful (to be with the baby).”

When the actor was asked what her dream roles were, she responded by saying, “I have never thought about dream roles.” And when Abhishek was asked the same question, his response was, “We live our dreams on a daily basis,” reported the Indian Express.

When Aishwarya was asked about the best day of her life, many predicted she would say the day her first child was born was the greatest day, however she said, “The day I married Abhishek. It was a great day.”

Grandfather Amitabh Bachchan was not able to attend the event as per his doctor’s suggestion. However, Jaya Bachchan did come to London with Abhishek and Aishwarya, but was not able to attend the event as she was busy babysitting her beloved granddaughter Aaradhya.
